Our Founding Fathers and Patriots in that time in history knew that the concept of the Constitution
and the Bill of Rights was fragile and precious and it was to be valued beyond measure and
protected at all costs. In fact, the last sentence of the Declaration of Independance states:
"And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of devine Providence,
We mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor".

We affirm freedom for every individual as expressed in the Declaration of Independance and
protected by the Constitution. We believe that a citizens needs are best met through free enterprise
and private initiative. We support the "Rule of Law" and believe in upholding the law of the land.

We believe government properly exists by the consent of the governed and must be restrained from
intruding into the freedoms of it's citizens. The functions of the government is not to grant rights,
but to protect the inalienable, God given rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

We demand honesty, integrity, morality and accountablity of our public officials.

The Tehachapi Tea Party is a non-partisan organization. We are not controlled nor do we support
one political party over another. We will however discuss issues of the day, incumbants and
candidates but our focus will be on their voting records and on statements that they have made.

We affirm the infinite worth of all individuals, and seek the best possible quality of life for all.
We recognize the contributions made to the quality of life through ethnic diversity.

We strive to be inclusive to all religious beliefs or if you don't have this as part of you life, that's
your freedom and we recognize and appreciate your desire on this sensitive matter.

I propose that we simply set aside our differences for the sake of our beloved Country and for
the future generations to follow us. We are a peaceful non-violent organization.
